September 17, 2007It's O.J. Monday, Fun Day!
Just had to say that. I heard Shepard Smith say this on Fox News today when I was watching, and it's been stuck in my head all day. Everytime I thought about "O.J. Monday, Fun Day," I couldn't help but laugh. If this is karma, it sure came back with a VENGENCE on O.J. If, however, he was innocent; this was just a very, very, very poor decision on his part. I'm not going to comment on whether or not I thought he was guilty of the first crime, because that gets everyone all hot and bothered. However, I will comment on the fact that the little sound bite by Mr. Smith from Fox News has kept me in quite a jovial mood all day---despite the fact that I'm going back to killer hours this week at work. Oh, I must add...EVERYTHING regarding O.J. is ALLEGEDLY!

September 16, 2007FOOTBALL SUCKS! I'M DONE WITH THE VIKES...Okay, not really but geesh! I've followed this damn team since 1989 and am let down every goddamned year! Sooooooo, Minnesota today let the damn Lions break their losing streak with the Vikes. I mean COME ON!!!!! Ten turnovers!!!! Are you kidding me? So, I'm miserable now. It's psychological. When you identify with a team and they lose; then, you feel like a loser. So, I feel like a loser right now.

To the new...and usedOkay, first journal entry. I'm fairly new here, right? I have a big mouth in my public persona, but I'm shy and retiring in my internet persona. Why? I don't know. So, if you stumble across my so far sparse profile...know this...I work two jobs and am trying to get my screenwriting/directing career off the ground (aren't we all, though? aren't we all). So, I don't have a lot of time to play on here. But, drop me a line if ya' wanna talk HORROR (movies, which is my undying passion and love) or MUSIC (yup...I'm a H.I.M. fanatic, and they are pretty much all I listen to; however, I have a BROAD knowledge of most music and am a casual guitar player). I also eat books (not literally, figuratively). I love philosophy (especially Greek) and Greek myths (saw 300 and loved it). I read a lot of heavy duty shit to balance out the dilemma I have in my brain that if I keep watching cartoons and horror, my brain is just going to melt out of my ears. I do love Shakespeare and the writings of Friedrich Nietzsche. I love that he questioned the existence of God back in the 1800s, quite ballsy if you ask me..."What if God were not exactly truth, and if this could be proved? And if he were instead the vanity, the desire for power, the ambitions, the fear, and the enraptured and terrified folly of mankind? (Nietzsche, 1890)" And, that he understood that the bad isn't necessarily the bad and shouldn't be avoided..."The advantage of a bad memory is that one enjoys several times the same good things for the first time." But for some unknown reason, this is by far my favorite quote fromNietzsche..."He who fights with monsters should look to it that he himself does not become a monster. And when you gaze long into an abyss the abyss also gazes into you." Yeah, don't ponder on your demons for too long; lest you become.
